Why must they die?

This project, for Unicef Bangladesh was produced as a fundraising tool to be used to source funding from global donor agencies. It dealt with the harrowing subject of maternal mortality in Bangladesh, a country with the highest statistics in the world for such deaths.

Using drama reconstructions and interviews with victims' families and senior aid agency representatives, a vivid portrait was painted of the tragic and largely preventable causes of thousands of deaths. The interviews were intercut with drama simulations and animations illustrating statistical information.

Used by Unicef staff on fundraising missions to the United States, including representation to the Bill Gates Foundation, the video was an important tool in Unicef's fundraising strategies for the region.
